Learn about double donation, commonly referred to as assisted reproduction, which is donation using both donor eggs and donor sperm.
Double donation for medical indications became legal in Denmark on January 1, 2018. This means that you can now receive both donor eggs and donor sperm in the same treatment if two conditions are met.
Conditions for double donation are as follows:
An example of health grounds is if a person who is able to conceive does not have fertilisable eggs, or if a couple has neither fertilisable eggs nor sperm.
If a couple consists of two people who are both capable of conceiving, donating an egg from one person to the other is only possible if the person who will carry the child does not have viable eggs for fertilisation.
